Javasatu, Malang– Reported from Nusadaily group. The Mayor of Malang, Sutiaji was accompanied by the Head of Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing and Residential Area (DPUPRPKP) of Malang City and his staff reviewed the ambrol bridge on Bandulan Highway, Sukun District, Malang City.
The alternative bridge connecting the two villages will be repaired soon and is targeted to be completed before the Malang Anniversary in April 2021.
The Mayor of Malang, Suiaji said that the cause of the flood was thought to be due to the flow of water due to heavy rains resulting in the bridge collapsed and eventually collapsed.
"Insha Allah will be corrected soon, the material has come and we give time for a settlement as soon as about two months," he explained.
He explained that the bridge is an old bridge. However, in the last three years, there has been an additional new bridge of about 1.20 meters.
"Later will be repaired all, later will be made new and temporarily will be closed completely for improvement. The budget is from APBD 2021," he explained.
Meanwhile, Head of DPUPRPKP Malang City, Hadi Santoso added, the bridge was built by residents with red stone pairs.
"Based on the instructions of Mr. Wali (Mayor of Malang), concrete construction was replaced. So, I will dismantle it, and I will widen it," he said.
Soni elaborated, the bridge will be widened about three meters. So, the flow of water can be smoother.
"Mr. Wali (Mayor of Malang) made sure, before the birthday of Malang city is finished. Later, at the end of March, we will finish that," he said.
He explained, for the improvement of the bridge, it will use incidental funds.
"If we run out, we use BTT (Unexpected Cost). My incidental fund this year is only Rp 2 billion for the whole city of Malang for incidentals. The funds are still calculated, not up to Rp 200 million," he concluded. (ND/JS)
