A female patient of Ibnu Sina Gresik Hospital, East Java, Indonesia, escaped while undergoing intensive care. There was a chase between the patient and the medics.
Patients were successfully prevented from leaving the hospital with the help of police officers and civil police service in the vicinity of the site.
Although there have been allegations that the patient was exposed to Covid-19, the hospital has not been able to confirm it, and will investigate it.
“Because the officers are still busy, so we have not heard from them” said Maftuhan, Deputy Medical Director of Ibnu Sina Hospital, Gresik.
The incident occurred around Thursday, Jan 28 at 3:45 p.m. On the hands of the patient is seen bleeding during the chase.
“The condition of the patient’s hands continues to be bleeding,” said a civil police service officer. (Bass/Saf)
