KPU or Komisi Pemilihan Umum (like FEC in US) Gresik Regency confirmed the Regent and Regent Deputy of Gresik in the 2020 Regional Election. This announcement was made in the midst of a pandemic, Friday (22/1/2021) at the Aston Hotel, Gresik Regency, East Java, Indonesia.
Officially, the KPU Gresik has appointed Fandi Akhmad Yani or ‘Gus Yani’ as Regent of Gresik and Aminatun Habibah or ‘Bu Min’ as Deputy Regent of Gresik for the period 2021-2026. At that time, the Chairman of KPU Gresik, Akhmad Roni handed over official report to Gus Yani and Bu Min.
Gus Yani said that building Gresik Regency cannot be done alone, but the Gresik people must be involved.
“We need the support of all parties to build Gresik in the future and we need collaboration, especially the activeness of the Gresik people,” said Gus Yani, Friday (22/1/2021).
According to Gus Yani, becoming a regent is a mandate for the position of society, he hopes that it can be useful for the common good in the future.
“In the future there will no longer be (number) 01 and (number) 02. There is only the Indonesian Unity,” said Gus Yani in his speech.
Even Gus Yani invited the pair Muhammad Qosim and Doctor Asluchul Alif to build Gresik Regency for the welfare of all of the people.
“There is only Indonesian unity for the sake of harmony of the Gresik people. And alhamdulillah, the Covid-19 vaccine in Gresik Regency has been distributed, this is proof that Mr. Qosim supports the success of the government’s vaccination movement. I hope Covid-19 in Gresik will be over soon, “Gus Yani concluded.
