"Safe house has been extended, the permit is until March 31, 2021. It's been verbally abused. Safe house is still functioned, not returned to the province," explained Sutiaji.

Sutiaji asserts, safe house serves to provide care to Covid-19 patients with mild symptoms.

"If the patient enters moderate or severe symptoms, we will refer them to a referral hospital. We will also adjust this provision with the Field Hospital," he said.

As previously reported, malang city government highlighted the operational license of the Human Resources Training Center (BPSDM) owned by the Provincial Government (Pemprov) of East Java (East Java) has been used as a quarantine house whose permit will run out in January 2021.

"Actually, the Safe House permit in January 2021 is exhausted. I have instructed the Malang City Secretariat to ask the Governor, so that the permission to use it is extended," he said.

Later, the safe house serves to relax the referral hospital in Malang. So, Covid-19 patients without symptoms until moderate symptoms can be treated there.

"So, most likely later the license to use BPSDM Jatim for safe house will be extended," he said.

Based on Covid-19 Task Force data from Malang until January 10, 2021, the number of patients confirmed positive increased by 67 people. Thus, the number of patients reached 4,226 people.
