Javasatu, Surabaya – Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19 in Surabaya found a cluster of hajatan at weddings that occurred in the capital of East Java Province in recent days.
Reported from Nusadaily.com, on Monday (11/1/2021) Deputy Secretary IV of the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19 Surabaya Irvan Widyanto in Surabaya, said, his party gave recommendations when the wedding ceremony took place excluded the buffet procession.
"The goal is so that the community or guests who attend are not given the opportunity to open the mask" he said.
That is, he continued, the food can be wrapped and taken home. So it is not eaten so that residents do not open masks in the crowd.
"But that does not mean we prohibit socio-cultural activities including hajatan in it yes" he said.
According to him, the rule has actually been included in the Surabaya Mayor's Regulation (Perwali) Number 67 of 2020 concerning the Implementation of Health Protocols in order to Prevent and Break the Chain of SPREAD of COVID-19 which states that whatever the recommendations of the task force then it is carried out.
"When not carrying out the recommendations of the task force, it does not close the possibility of hajatan owners, place managers, owners of places subject to fines or sanctions" he said.
Irvan said this applies not only to the organizers at home, but in hotels, wedding halls and convention halls.
"So there was a case some time ago a couple exposed after attending a wedding in the city center. Initially complained of dizziness nausea, the next day fever and that day in the swab test both were positive" he said.
Finally, he advised all citizens to strictly comply with health protocols. If it doesn't really matter then people are really asked to stay home.
"Except work or something very important" he said. (ND/JS)
